Bio

I was born in a small town in communist poland. At the age of seven my parents snuck my sister and me into Germany. Spending my teens as well as my twenties in Essen, Germany really openned my eyes to a world without communism. My art floursished as well as my love for photography. I was able to attend the Fachhochschule Duesseldorf, a world famous art school.

My art is the culmination of what i was taught to believe was right and what i actually experienced in life. Communism versus Freedom. The experience of living one reality while creating utopia on canvas to escape to.

Since then my eye has turned. My passion for photography has grown while travelling the world. Capturing moments in their purest element and time. The immortality of the snapshot. It is no longer them vs. us, it is humanity and who we are and how we strive.

"we artists are indestructible, even in a prison cell or a concentration camp i would be almighty in my own work of art. even if i had to paint my pictures with my wet tongue on the dusty floor of my cell." pablo picasso
