Ryan Davis is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelors in Studio Art. He also have two Associate degrees from American River College; one in Fine Arts, and the other in Liberal Arts. He has been doing art since he began studying it at American River College in 1997. Ryan's paintings veers toward abstraction, and in the paintings displayed, he sometimes uses the face as a canvas to express pain, anguish, struggle, and whatnot in a abstracted way. His inspiration comes from graphics from ads, and also from the works of Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dali, Jean-Michel Basquait, and Andy Warhol. Ryan is also a writer for Examiner.com, reporting on museums and galleries in the Bay Area, and nearby areas like Sacramento. He curently lives in Elk Grove.
